Over 5 million people in the U.S. with limb loss or limb difference struggle with significant life challenges.

There is a lack of data on effective clinical practices and technologies to support and guide care providers and patients alike.

We believe in the power of data to drive insights, to define high quality care and produce information that improves access to high-quality care for the limb loss and limb difference (LLLD) community.

With your help, we are filling this gap.

Before the existence of the Limb Loss and Preservation Registry (LLPR) there was no method to gather data from the acquired and congenital limb loss or limb difference community.

Limb Loss & Preservation Registry (LLPR) is a national program designed to improve the quality, safety, and effectiveness of treatment of limb preservation and limb loss. The Registry was born of a partnership between the Department of Defense and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Developed under a five-year contract issued by the NIH’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the Registry was developed and launched with funding from several federal agencies and benefitting from their oversight and guidance.

A FIRST!

The LLPR is the first national Registry of its kind in the United States to standardize, collect, measure and report patient outcomes relative to limb loss or preservation surgery and post-surgical care and rehabilitation.

Looking Ahead

The Registry is expected to help health care providers, patients and families with up-to-date, reliable information and resources that impact the lives of those who have suffered limb loss or are dealing with limb differences.

Activity is health.

Our Process

By combining data from hospitals and O&P practices, we create unique patient records. Our LLPR data analytics empower healthcare practitioners to involve patients in managing their own care by using LLPR analytics to show what care plans might work for them.

This powerful tool propels a new era of personalized healthcare, where comprehensive data becomes valuable information, driving progress in the O&P industry.

Help enhance treatment and care for limb preservation and people living with limb loss and limb difference.
